Modern Industrial Styled Shoot | Ten23 Photography

When we saw the first images from The Gin’s restoration, we recognized the immense potential it had to become the newest industrial modern wedding venue in the area. We teamed up with some of our favorite local vendors to put together the first styled shoot at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls. The venue is a 1950’s cotton gin restored to create the Brazos Valley’s newest wedding venue. Just about 30 minutes from College Station and an hour from Houston, The Gin sits in prime location for couples in the region. We’re so excited to see wedding industry development in the area. It leads to so much inspiration and growth for the vendors we call our friends.

The inspiration of the shoot came from the venue’s timeless character and industrial charm. Laura & Donald made sure to keep the historical appeal of the venue by keeping so many of the original features. The space lends perfectly to the modern industrial setup we were able to create. The backside of the venue is lined with active cotton fields that lend a stunning backdrop to one of the multiple ceremony sites. The silos seen towards the end of the post were one of our favorite parts of the space. They add the perfect vintage touch to a modern industrial wedding design. The bridal cottage and grooms quarters weren’t finished at the time of the styled shoot, but have been completed since and are absolutely stunning.

We are so excited to be back at The Gin in May 2019 for Chelsea & Will’s wedding day. We’re looking forward to returning to capture our first wedding almost exactly one year from this styled shoot. We know this will be the first of so many incredible weddings at The Gin.
